DESIGNER’S STATEMENT

I am a passionate poker player and I love CASH. Everybody I know that carries $2000 and few cards on them walks around with a rubber band holding it together. I woke up one morning after a night out playing poker and couldn’t find any of my cards or cash. I realized that a rubber band was an ineffective and tacky way to carry all of my necessities but there wasn’t a money clip available on the market that would hold as much cash as I like to carry or possess the sophisticated style I was searching for.

All money clips I could find are functional ones, that are mainly focused on holding cards and very little cash without that unique bold look. So I needed to create my own solution.

I wanted to create the ultimate, luxurious money clip with a statement that would literally outshine any other money clip on the market.

HERE IS MY STORY AND THE BEGINNING OF THE 50 CLIP.

One morning I woke up and wanted to create a money clip that holds necessary cards such as ID, Credit Cards, Triple A with a few business cards plus a solid 50 BILLS.

$5,000 cash seems to be a good amount to enter a poker game, go on a trip, go shopping or just feel good about having plenty of cash on you to handle whatever life brings.

Everybody likes cash and everybody takes cash.

I went to the hardware store and got a big metal Anvil and a blowtorch, along with heavy duty pliers and a variety of hammers. Back at the house I heated up a 10 oz piece of silver and hammered it as flat as I could then folded it to the shape as I had envisioned. The original sample wasn’t anything close to the patented versions today but it held 8 cards and $5,000.

The idea was born and the first sample created. Over the next three years and nearly 40 re-designs; the most highly luxurious, stylish, practical statement clip on the market became a reality..
